Vent Pipe Boot Flashing prevents ventilation penetrations from leaking.
We install copper vent pipe flashing on slate roofs that are fabricated to the exact pitch of the roof and diameter of the vent pipe. If the pitch isn’t right it will kick the slate up causing a sideways rain to leak under the flashing.
If the pipe boot falshing doesn’t have a cap water can ride down the pipe and into the house.
If the slate isnt properly under and overlapped the flashing plate won’t properly protect the roof.
The point is there are many reasons pipes leak on the roof. We go out of our way to ensure our flashing prevents leaks.
